Over the last week, I have been in the process of getting acquainted with my PLN. At times, it is a bit intimidating to see all of the information that is out there in the many networks that I am joining (such as twitter, tapped in, and LM-NET for MD 403). Before sifting through the information, something as simple as remembering user names and passwords can be a challenge.
However, taken slowly, I have found it interesting to see the educational aspects of websites that I once found to be frivolous. The article, The Power of the Personal Learning Network: Twitter, showed a side to that website that I had not previously seen. A media specialist in my building always raves about twitter. Now, I understand how it can be a medium for an exchange of important ideas.
